STEUBENVILLE, OHIO - As Gov. John Kasich readies his remarks for his State of the State speech, people from throughout Ohio will deliver State of the 99% addresses at 11:00 am on Tuesday just north of Steubenville High School - home of Wells Academy - to describe what everyday life is really like for ordinary citizens since he took office.

"Governor Kasich has cut nearly $1-Billion dollars in funding to our local communities for vital services like road repair, county health services, community centers and public safety including police and fire," said Anthony Caldwell, spokesperson for the State of the 99% rally. "Politicians in Columbus need to stop using Ohio's budget to reward their corporate campaign contributors and start working for the 99%."

Activists, labor groups, community organizations, and faith-based organizations will call out Kasich for his corporate handouts while cutting funding for local governments, schools, and the vital services the 99% need -- and what makes Ohio great.

WHEN: 11:00am, Tuesday, February 7

WHERE: Corner of Logan & N. 4th Street north of Wells Academy
