SEIU District 1199 members will share various life skills with one another during a Saturday, Nov. 7 conference in Cleveland.

The "Healthy Choices for a Healthy Family" conference will offer each participant the choice of two out of six break-out sessions on the following topics: setting limits with teens, helping aging family members, family finances, dealing with a mentally ill family member, women's health and sexual health, and surviving domestic violence.

The conference is presented by the Union's Member Strength Program, and it will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, downtown at the Crowne Plaza, 777 St. Clair Ave.

Registrations must be received no later than Oct. 30, but since available slots for the conference will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis, would-be participants should register as soon as possible in order to ensure attendance. Click here to register online, and click here to open a flyer about the event.
